Senior Government/Civics is a challenging course that is meant to be the equivalent of a freshman college course. Moreover, it is the instructor's purpose to help students to succeed in her/his full ability. The course surveys the various political systems of the world and the United States over two semesters. Reliable reading and writing skills and a willingness to devote considerable time to research and study are necessary to succeed. Emphasis is placed on critical and analytical thinking skills, essay writing, and an interpretation of primary and secondary sources.​
