The purpose of this section is to give the student access to the task overview for Unit 1: Africa. The global region of Africa is divided into 5 geographical regions: (1) Eastern Africa; (2) Middle Africa; (3) Northern Africa; (4) Southern Africa; and (5) Western Africa. In Eastern Africa the countries are: (1) Burundi; (2) Comoros; (3) Djibouti; (4) Eritrea; (5) Ethiopia; (6) Kenya; (7) Madagascar; (8) Malawi; (9) Mauritius; (10) Mayotte; (11) Mozambique; (12) Reunion; (13) Rwanda; (14) Seychelles; (15) Somalia; (16) Tanzania; (17) Uganda; (18) Zambia; and (19) Zimbabwe.
In Middle Africa the countries are: (1) Angola; (2) Cameroon; (3) Central African Republic; (4) Chad; (5) Congo (Brazzaville); (6) The Democratic Republic of Congo; (7) Equatorial Guinea; (8) Gabon; and (9) Sao Tome and Principe.
In Northern Africa the countries are: (1) Algeria; (2) The Canary Islands; (3) Egypt; (4) Libya; (5) Morocco; (6) South Sudan; (7) Tunisia; and (8) Western Sahara.
