Sophomore World History is a course that gives an in-depth view of the various cultures around the world and throughout history. This program is based on the concepts of universal design for learning. The students will pick two out for six possible cultural plunges from each of the 8 worlds below; consequently, there are 2,254,848,913,647 possible cultural pathways students can experience. Each level or cultural plunge should take 2 weeks. Upon completion of the 8 worlds (Units), the student will develop a final project that illustrates the year-long cultural journey through history. Think of this course as a version of the Mario Brothers III (Nintendo video game) and a Choose Your Own Adventure Book. This course will be stimulating and will allow students to work at their own pace, within reason.
